This puts them at the forefront making them very essential in a company's survival. This can be clearly seen as fewer DBAs lost their jobs in the USA compared to other careers in IT.

The position of an MS SQL DBA is an extremely rewarding one with most SQL Server DBAs making 6 figures in a little over 2 years of working in the industry with salaries in the USA averaging $60,000 - $100,000 for entry level positions according to Glassdoor.The job position even ranks no. 5 on the US News and World Report of the top 10 best technology jobs in the world.

The popularity of remote work is ever-growing in this career. Most DBAs now work from home, thus, reducing the commute time and giving them much more flexibility in their daily lives.
